These pieces of robot suit made by Legacy Effects were used in the first episode of S1 on the hero robot suit and then used to make the robot that falls off the cliff halfway through season 1 and split into seperate parts. In season 2 the silver paint was sprayed into that original suit to make the other alien robot seen in the cage and finally in S3 parts of that style of robot was strewn over the landscape in the final episodes when the robot war occurs. As such the colors represent different robots and periods in the series history with the mettallic blue/gold being the earliest suit. The silver and black latex oil were from the final use. The biggest arm piece is approx 6 inches long
The three lower leg armor pieces comes an arm/shoulder connector and as stated above featured in many key scenes in the show
